Curriculum And Philosophy
VIVAKIDS PROVIDES AN AUTHENTIC AND JOYFUL PRESCHOOL EXPERIENCE.
With a bilingual format, our curriculum is child directed. Kids, with help from our teachers, can choose their own tasks and activities. They can also work at their own pace and level , as they are not constrained by a one-size-fits-all curriculum. It is our belief that a quality program offers both structured and unstructured activities that encourage children to plan and think about what they are doing. Our materials are mostly made out of wood, glass, brass, wicker, cotton and metal. These materials provide a multi-sensory experience for the child and part of that is the visual appeal that results in a calm, prepared learning environment.

VIVAKIDS PROVIDES AN AUTHENTIC AND JOYFUL PRESCHOOL EXPERIENCE.
We are a Bilingual Portuguese/English Immersion State Certified Preschool. Our program is located in a beautiful residential building with an extensive yard where children explore nature and plant their own herbs, vegetables, fruits and flowers. We dedicated our entire main floor for the use of our preschool children, where our child size furniture, toys and materials are appropriately placed with our students in mind.

RATIO
Our capacity is 16 children total, ages ranging from 1 to 5 years old. Our student teacher ratio will always be in accordance with the State’s requirements, which are 4:1 (children younger than 2 years old) and 10:1 for children 2 and older.
HOURS
VivaKids Preschool is open Monday to Friday from 8am-3pm. After school care available from 3pm-6pm.
MEALS
We provide homemade meals and snacks to our children. Our delicious vegetarian “comida de vó” (grandma’s food) made by vovó Mary consists of healthy nutritious ingredients with a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, and lots of love! We strive to offer the best quality meals that can not be found in packages.
